Those challenges fueled LACMA's commitment and dedication to our members as we worked to provide innovative support and solutions to our physicians and community. Please join us as we reflect on and celebrate the many things we accomplished - TOGETHER in 2021. Initiatives, Resources & Solutions The Medical Practice Makeover Initiative offers small, independent, member medical practices that meet certain criteria, grants, robust resources, PPE supplies & staff support, including practice transformation consultancy, offered free of charge. MD/DO Lifeline, partly funded by PhRMA, offers wellness resources, including retreats, assessments, tools and partnerships at no cost to LACMA physicians. Preparing for MICRA Battle An initiative that will be on the November 2022 ballot threatens to dismantle MICRA. LACMA is joining the fight by matching medical staff contributions of up to $300,000. New Councils Mission: To promote the physical, social and mental health of the people of Los Angeles County through advocacy, policy development and partnership with public health and community-based organizations. Comprised of the presidents, president-elects and the immediate past presidents of Ventura, Kern, LA, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, Imperial and San Diego counties, this group convenes to share ideas and best practices. Mission: To promote the physical, social and mental health of the people of Los Angeles County through advocacy, policy development and partnership with public health and community-based organizations. Education & Information A series whose focus is to engage the physician community on the topics of racism, implicit bias and social inequities that impact access to care, the provision of quality care and injury and disease prevention. Physicians Against Intolerance and Xenophobia (March 29) Zoom call with Congresswoman Judy Chu A resource developed to provide the latest COVID-19 information and resources for the physicians of LA County. TOWN HALL SERIES: Expanding Universal Coverage LACMAInteractive.com Bringing to life the efforts of LACMA leadership, staff, and physicians across the County as they work together to make our community a better place for all. Each episode of Clear as Mud brings clarity to the complicated profession of medicine by delivering relevant, purposeful information featuring great guests, inspired conversations, and clear takeaways.
