Monday Rx - February 5, 2018 February 6, 2018 Monday RX 1230 As I mark the second year of leading this organization, it remains my fundamental goal to do whatever I can, with leadership and staff support, to first and foremost help physicians and provide value for our members. I frequently get asked what LACMA is doing for doctors. Supporting physicians with their day-to-day practice challenges, fighting for them in Sacramento, providing forums for discussion, and creating real solutions for individuals and groups are just a few ways I am working on behalf of the practice of medicine, for independent physicians, for medical groups and for our allies and corporate partners. These efforts, based on service, not rhetoric, are certainly improving physician awareness of all that LACMA offers to the medical community. But, every week, I still ask you, what more should we be doing, what can we do better? We need to find new and innovative ways to hear from physicians using their preferred methods for communicating and sharing. One of the hallmarks of a great culture is simply listening. Creating a "physician feedback loop" for physicians keeps trust and engagement high—and helps members feel connected to LACMA and beyond. Now is the time to come together as a medical community to share your voice so that we can continue to build trust and provide value. I sincerely encourage you to join us on Saturday, March 3rd at the 2nd Annual Saving Private Practice Consortium so that we can hear from you, learn about your needs and the challenges you face, while also providing you with the opportunity to interact with 25 healthcare industry experts who can offer you one-on-one assistance in real time, all at no cost to you. This is real, tangible value that, in just one day, can more than make up for the cost of membership. Your office staff is also invited at no cost to you. You can see the event agenda, review the areas of help and register here or email sheila@lacmanet.org with your RSVP. I also encourage you to share information about the event with your colleagues and affiliated medical centers.
