Public Health to Launch Landmark Wellness Community in Pomona February 12, 2020 LA County, Pomona, Press Conference, Public Health 1313 Today February 12, officials from the County of Los Angeles, including Supervisor Hilda Solis, Barbara Ferrer, Ph.D., MPH, MEd, Director of Public Health, Michelle Gibson, Deputy Division Director for Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment, and Toni Navarro, Executive Director, Tri-City Mental Health Services, will celebrate the opening of the Pomona Wellness Community. The complex will offer opportunities for community members to participate in actions that promote health and well-being including physical fitness and nutrition classes, substance use referrals and overdose prevention training, violence prevention workshops, and stress reduction activities.
